The Step-Down Path
Once detox is complete, the work shifts from clearing your body to building a life without the substance in it. That shift happens in stages, and each stage gives you a little more freedom while keeping the clinical care you still need.
Most people start in residential treatment, where you live on site and the days are built around therapy, groups, and time with the clinical team. This is the most structured part of the path, and that structure is the point. With housing, meals, and scheduling handled for you, you can put your full attention on the deeper clinical work.
From there, we step down to a partial hospitalization program or an intensive outpatient program. You spend real hours in treatment during the day, then go home in the evening. That change matters. You start practicing recovery in your actual life, with your own triggers and routines, while we stay close enough to help you sort through what comes up.
The last stage is outpatient maintenance. Sessions become less frequent, and you carry more of the daily load yourself, but the door stays open. We adjust the level of support as your footing gets steadier, so no single step ever feels like a leap.
